One of the rarest and most visually extraordinary halide minerals. The boleite-cumengeite-pseudoboleite epitaxial association at Boleo, Mexico, produces specimens that display three distinct minerals growing in crystallographic alignment on a single specimen, creating the famous "star" formations. Elite collector mineral. Crystal structure was refined in Mineralogical Magazine 1986 (Hawthorne and Groat).
