Clinohumite

Titanclinohumite, Titanian Clinohumite

Preview

Clinohumite is a formal mineral species in the humite group, a magnesium-iron nesosilicate fluoride-hydroxide. It is named for its relationship to humite plus the monoclinic crystal class. It is distinct from Humite, Chondrodite, and Norbergite. Titanclinohumite is a compositional variety, not a separate catalog species. Color alone cannot distinguish humite-group members. Collectors may keep it for study and display. It is not medical care.
