The most common and collectible member of the humite group. Classic Tilly Foster Mine crystals are prized American mineral specimens. Transparent yellow-orange crystals can be faceted into rare collector gemstones. Fluorescent specimens add display interest under UV light. Named for its grainy habit from Greek "chondros."
